I have had pets all of my life and absolutely love animals! I currently have 3 dogs, all of them rescued. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in English Education and a Master’s Degree in Education. I taught middle school for 5 years. In April of 2008, my mom, Paula, and I decided to start PAWSitive Strides, because of our love for animals. I couldn’t ask for a better job! In addition to my own babies, I feel privileged to be able to spoil and pamper other people’s pets!
My daughter and I started PAWSitive Strides to combine our love of pets with our desire to provide quality service to others. We believe in making sure all pets are treated with the same love and attention that they would receive if their owners were home. It makes all of the difference in the world to the pet that is away from its owner. Like my daughter, I also taught for many years and have owned pets throughout my life. My current pets are two rescued dogs. They are part of the family!

I have always loved animals and I aspire to become a dog trainer and dog rehabilitator. It started out when I first fostered a dog from the SPCA who was caged her entire life. And from that moment on I realized that there are such high degrees of special cases with dogs that 90% of dog trainers couldn’t help them. That’s when I realized that I wanted to make a difference and help as many cases of aggressive and super fearful dogs as I possibly can. I volunteer with 4 rescues and I save and foster puppies in my spare time. I am willing to put in more effort and devoting most my life to helping dogs.
Hello, my name is Cora. My entire life I have been passionate about animals. Being able to help and care for them has always been something of importance to me. I have experience with various animals, including dogs, cats, fish, and other small animals, personally and professionally. There is nothing more rewarding to me than being able to see happy animals. I currently have one dog, a four-year-old miniature Australian Shepherd named Rocko. He is the light of my life and inspires me so much every day. I can’t wait to meet you and your pets, and show them as much love as I would my own.

Hi, Everyone! My name is Melanie and I live with my rescued cat, Sherbert. I am originally from Indianapolis, IN and I moved to Orlando in order to fulfill my dream of working with dolphins. In addition to being part of the PAWSitive Strides team, I work at Discovery Cove where I help to care for and train Atlantic bottlenose dolphins! I have been a part of the marine mammal care and public education industry for over eight years and have cared for all kinds of creatures, big and small, domestic and exotic. I also have been riding and training horses for over twelve years. I even had my own horse that I rescued off the racetrack and retrained to compete in eventing and English style riding. Taking care of animals is my career and my passion and I can’t wait to meet your furry family members and give them all the love and best care possible!
